Windows XP has ended

Still have Windows XP and still living in the past?

XP support has ended. So you are probably wondering, what does that mean for me? It means that the update you received earlier this week is the very last Windows Update ever for Windows XP. Sad huh, but you don't have to worry about downloading megabits of an update after.

You are advised to update your computer operating system because of the risk that your computer is now vulnerable and a likely target of computer hacking, viruses and other things that can screw up your computer or steal personal information.

A simple question that may answer a question most people just want answered is.. Can I upgrade my computer to the next best and suitable OS on Windows? Yes and No. Software on XP (or earlier) is designed to work only on those operating systems and may not be compatible. Upgrading to Windows 7 or WIndows 8.1 is easy. BUT.. You may need to check that your computer is able to allow the upgrade. Some computers are not designed to run Windows 7 or 8.1 as the hardware may not handle certain things.
